Speed Distance Time Calculator
Find speed, distance or time from the other two.
The speed triangle
Speed, distance and time are linked by one relationship: speed = distance ÷ time. Rearranged, distance = speed × time and time = distance ÷ speed. Use any unit of distance, such as miles or kilometres, and the speed comes out as that distance per hour.
Example
On the first tab (speed) with the starting values shown (Distance 150; Hours 2; Minutes 30; Seconds 0), Average speed comes out as 60. Other results include distance per minute: 1.
The answer is an average speed. For a trip with stops, include the stops in the time to get the overall average. For a running pace instead, use the pace calculator.
